Terms of Service for Safeguarding Community of Practice

Welcome to Safeguarding Community of Practice! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform, services, and features. By accessing or using Safeguarding Community of Practice, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms of Service
By creating an account, accessing, or using Safeguarding Community of Practice, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Additional terms may apply to specific features, and you agree to comply with those as well.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use our platform.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.
3. Use of the Platform
You agree to use Safeguarding Community of Practice in accordance with the following Terms of Service:
a. Prohibited Activities:
- Do not post or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, hateful, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.
- Do not engage in harassment, bullying, or any form of threatening behavior.
- Do not impersonate others or create false accounts.
- Do not use the platform for spam, phishing, or unauthorized advertising.
- Do not attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the platform’s security.
b. Content Standards:
- You retain ownership of the content you post but grant Safeguarding Community of Practice a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the platform.
- You are solely responsible for the content you post.
c. Compliance with Laws:
You agree to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws while using the platform.
4. Termination of Account
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or act in a manner detrimental to the platform or its users.
5. Intellectual Property
All content and materials on Safeguarding Community of Practice, including logos, designs, text, and code, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without prior written permission.
6. Third-Party Links and Content
Safeguarding Community of Practice may contain links to third-party websites or display third-party content. We do not endorse or control these third parties and are not responsible for their actions or content.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
- Safeguarding Community of Practice is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the platform.
- Your use of the platform is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Safeguarding Community of Practice and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data.
- Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid to us, if any, in the past 12 months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Safeguarding Community of Practice, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights.
10. Changes to These Terms of Service

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Kenya.
